A Field Study Day offers educators an opportunity to be critical observers in learning environments in which The Number Lab Math Block is the decided model for mathematics learning.

A Typical Field Study Day Schedule:

Pre-brief: Overview of Long-View Micro School and The Number Lab Math Block

Observe 1-2 math blocks. Take observational notes of the content and/or practices.

Discussion: Participants will process their observations together, focusing on both the conceptual terrain the students covered as well as the practices, routines, and student talk.
